Ingredients

  • 1 (24oz) bag frozen ravioli (any kind)
  • 1 (32oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Spread a thin layer of pasta sauce onto the bottom of your prepared dish. Just a heaping spoonful will do!
  • Arrange HALF of the frozen ravioli into your dish in a single layer.
  • Top with HALF of the remaining sauce and about 1 cup of mozzarella.
  • Arrange the rest of the ravioli on top of the cheese and then top with the remaining sauce and mozzarella.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese starts to turn golden brown.

Notes

  • Are you a cheese lover? Sprinkle on some grated parmesan cheese to the last layer before baking.
  • I like to add additional seasoning to the layers for added flavor. I usually just sprinkle on some Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Feel free to add some ground sausage or ground beef to the pasta sauce as well as any veggies or fresh herbs that you'd like.
  • You can use any sauce for this recipe! Marinara is a popular choice in my house but this easy dinner can also be layered with alfredo, pesto, or a combination of sauces.
  • Top this casserole with pepperoni to make a pizza pasta delight!
  • As you can see, this recipe is really versatile and there are so many frozen ravioli options including cheese, spinach, beef, chicken, etc.
