Helpful Tips
- Serve this savory breakfast casserole alone or with a side of avocado, freshly diced tomatoes, your favorite condiments, or a colorful side of fruit.
- If you want to add some veggies, try sautéing diced bell peppers, onions, and maybe even some zucchini with the sausage mixture. Raw spinach could even be added in after the sausage layer.
- The Jimmy Dean sausage if packed full of flavor so you really don’t need much seasoning in your eggs, if any at all. Go easy on the salt as the sausage and crescent dough are both loaded with it.
- If you want to make this ahead of time, you can brown and chop the sausage the night before and reheat it in the microwave to save a bit of time. The rest seriously takes less than 5 minutes to prepare!
